Wonderful campsite for the coast. Small but perfect and Roberta is a wonderful host. Great place to explore walking the coast, birding or for boating from the docks. Wonderful.

Wonderful
The perfect place to explore the coast. I was lucky enough to get a space on this small but perfectly formed camp site. Ideal for Blakeney and the coast for birding or walking - just an amazing quiet campsite. Loved my break here. Thank you Roberta.

Just wanted to send a little message as we didn't get to see you before we left this morning to say thank you so much for the lovely place to camp. We have really enjoyed our time with you and the friendly atmosphere you've created helped to make our stay a relaxing one. We hope to return one day. Thank you.

Perfection in a field
We first stayed in 2019 (10 nights), had to cancel (regretfully) in 2020 and visited again in September 2021 (7 nights). For us (middle aged couple) this is the perfect campsite. Basic but spotless facilities, plenty of space, the best dark skies and easy access to an amazing corner of the UK including a great pub a few minutes walk away. Roberta couldn't do better if she tried, was lovely to catch up. Looking forward to our next visit already.

Scaldbeck cottage campsite is a lovely site set in a beautiful location. Morston quay and the North Norfolk Coastal path are a couple of minutes walk away.
It's not a' commercialised' site but a traditional small campsite offering peace and quiet in glorious surroundings.
We sat in the evening sunshine watching large flocks of geese flying over the site and listening to owls in the nearby trees. At night time the stargazing was amazing the sky being inky black.
The owner is a lovely lady who is glad to spend time having a friendly chat.
We will be pleased to return for another visit.

Other campers were friendly, covid safe,
Extra quality of life bits like benches and cooking slabs for fires.
Very friendly owner, great place to stay!

Quiet magical campsite. Friendly owner.
The sun shone on us for all three days. What a joy.
Lots of good simple activities done- long walks, cycled 38 miles, swimming in the sea.

Lovely setting. Very good shower. There was a wedding next door which resulted in one sleepless night.
We were warned but it was not stressed that it was quite so close or so loud.
The next night was wonderfully peaceful with only owls for company!

Lovely peaceful campsite in a stunning setting.
Facilities are simple but everything you need, super clean with clear instructions to help keep them COVID safe.
We definitely plan to come back here.

This is a wonderful little campsite in a fantastic location, lovely and quiet!
There is only one toilet/shower room for a max of 12 people, at the moment they rely on everyone who uses it to wipe everything down once they’ve been in (as well as regular cleaning).

I loved this site. It is a magical, peaceful place - just being there makes you relax. It is simply a field, with a simple loo & shower (nice, clean, sensible covid measures) and a water tap. It is just for tents.
Numbers of campers limited to be covid-safe but I'm guessing that most visitors would be like those who were there when I was: families wanting a quiet proper outdoor experience.
The owner was very helpful and thoughtful and took time to come and talk to campers to check things were ok.
The location is amazing - just outside Morston village (easy walk to pub although I didn't have time to visit it), very near Morston Quay (where you can get boat trips to see seals etc) and about half an hour's walk into Blakeney (nearest shop, nice quayside, chi-chi bakery & shops, pubs etc)
I only stayed one night as I was walking part of the Norfolk Coast Path but I really wished I could stay longer. I definitely want to go back!
